WORK EXPERIENCE

June 2024 - November 2024

Content Technical Artist

Set dressing, modelling, vfx, materials and shader work, blueprinting, and pipeline development for ICVFX film and tv. Optimizing and polishing scenes, troubleshooting issues, writing documentation for new technology and processes. 

July 2024 - August 2024

Teaching Assistant 

Supporting, mentoring, and educating Fellows during the 2024 Epic Games Fellowship: Games. Providing chat moderation for instructional sessions, hosting open labs, and delivering feedback to help Fellows in their skills development and learning. Supported learning on topics ranging from materials, game design, NPC movement, blueprint scripting and Niagara FX.

May 2022 - June 2024

Technical Artist

Technical Environment Art in Unreal Engine for ICVFX projects and more. Worked on scenes from pre-vis to final pixel alongside team members from around the globe. Performing an array of Tech Art responsibilities from optimization, research, rigging, animation, materials/ shaders, simulation, modelling, blueprinting and more.

November 2021 - March 2022

Environment Artist

Work on creation and compilation of industry demo reel, showcasing skills and techniques learned at Vancouver Institute of Media Arts. Projects include 3D modelling, texturing, blueprint scripting, and more. Check out my portfolio page for more.

Producer

Led and worked in a team of indie developers to create a playable vertical slice of an original title. Responsible for planning and delivering milestones, documentation of progress, team management, and generalist work such as blueprint scripting, texturing, and modelling.

Technical Expert / Genius Admin

Provided hardware and software repairs for customers at the Genius Bar. Main point of contact for customers visiting for support; both before, during, and after appointment. Resolved escalations and led team to achieve store wide goals in performance.

May 2016 - March 2018

Operations Specialist / Preservations Specialist

Shipped, managed, organized and received store inventory, both sellable stock as well as consumable store items. Collaborated and led team through complete store upgrade, working with external and internal vendors. Assisted with customer sales, and educated larger store team around KPIs that improved inventory accuracy.

Diploma with Honours in Game Art and Design - An intensive course load teaching a suite of programs and skills including 3D modelling, texturing, engine blueprinting, animating and game design elements.

Bachelor of Arts from the School of Interactive Arts and Technology. A program centered around design principles, and focused on the connections between humans and technology.
