QUIDDIYA RACING

Promotional Content

This project I worked closely with Levi Victoria to create the vehicle rigs and animations. We worked on multiple solutions including animating with Craft Director Studio in Maya and with Unreal Engine 5's sequencer. I collaborated closely with the Camera animator to get the feeling of thrill and excitement throughout the sequences. I also created the F1 sparks fx, custom IES profiles for the car headlights, and supported a lot of fps performance fixes and mesh fixes.

Octane Texture Job: Welcome

Racing. Elevated.

A change of pace to animation and rigging was a great refresher. Animating cars was super fun and I'd love to work on a project like this again! We had some learns with scene optimization on this project and took away some valuable feedback when working across teams with performance hungry tools.

QUIDDIYA STADIUM

Promotional Content

This project features some of my material work, specifically the emissive masking work on the outer structures of the stadium and the plaza floor materials. It was a great opportunity to work with dynamic emissive lighting, creating movement and intrigue with colour and intensity. I contributed some of the hologram work, foliage dressing, horizon dressing (far buildings and landscape) and minor stadium dressing as well.

Prince Mohammed Bin Salman Stadium

This project was a great exercise in materials and texturing - I created a dynamic gradient mask in Substance Painter that Unreal could read to use as a measure of how thick / thin the emissive lines on the halos would be. I built many controls into the LED materials to animate colour, thickness, brightness, and saturation. Additionally, the material for the flooring was world aligned with a separate scalable normal map to control each tile size to match the reference art.
